This 4-bedroom cottage was renovated in 2012 to transform it back into a home for
the 21st century. The project involved converting an uninhabited section of the existing
building and filling in an archway through the building that had provided vehicular
access.
The property received an entirely new ground floor incorporating under floor heating,
new painted timber windows (manufactured by Valley Joinery and Construction LTD)
were installed throughout and the walls to the ground floor were tanked with Vandex
to prevent damp and then finished with Limelite™ plaster. Much of the first floor
walls were dry lined to incorporate insulation within the building.
The project was finished to a very high standard, with aged oak engineered flooring
installed to the lounge area, natural stone flooring to much of the remaining ground
floor and a new painted staircase manufactured by Bristol Stair and Joinery LTD.
